I am totally fangirling this book! This book has so much offer – celebrity crushes, romance, drama, and more. Who can believe that two people know about chips and O’s – something new for me! If you can find someone that just fits, then you must have something real. Enjoyable rockstar chicklit for a weekend getaway! Be sure to download Reality Rocks so you can keep reading all about Kallie and Niles!

YES! I was really pulling for Jameson and Ashton to get together from the moment I began reading this book, especially since you could feel the tension between them in Whiskey & Honey. You can feel the attraction between them and wonder why Ashton has such a chip on her shoulder in dating Jameson, as he seems like a wonderful catch. Entertaining poolside read!

Going technology free for a month?!? Sadly, I am not sure I could handle that but I would try. I was definitely not a fan of Melissa’s boss, especially after the games she played. A fun read that will get you thinking about disconnecting and wondering what might just happen. A delightful weekend read!

About Victoria Cooke

Victoria Cooke grew up in the city of Manchester before crossing the Pennines in pursuit of a career in education. She now lives in Huddersfield with her husband and two young daughters and when she’s not at home writing by the fire with a cup of coffee in hand, she loves working out in the gym and travelling. Victoria was first published at the tender age of eight by her classroom teacher who saw potential in a six-page story about an invisible man. If only this book came with pictures so I could see what Kira’s hair! I can only imagine the peacock/unicorn coloring. This was a great continuation of Made for Me that gives you a glance into what happens when the reality shows stop taping. I feel that Kira suffered from the reality TV curse in that her marriage ends and drama ensues. A fast-paced read for the beach!

#Review – IF NOT FOR YOU by Debbie Macomber

If Not for You (New Beginnings, #3)If Not for You by Debbie Macomber

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Delightful continuation of the New Beginnings series. I am glad that I have read the books in order as I feel it adds to the story and you have background knowledge of the characters. Now, you can still read as a standalone but I think you would benefit more reading in order. The narrator had wonderful voice inflection and variety. Pleasurable listen for a road trip weekend.

If you like a headstrong female character, Navy is your girl. Even though all signs point to Carrick, she refuses to let herself fall for him. At times you want to bop her so she wakes up to see what is right in front of her but as we all know, we have to let things happen naturally. Delightful weekend read for a relaxing vacation!

#Review – THE IDENTICALS by Elin Hilderbrand

The IdenticalsThe Identicals by Elin Hilderbrand

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Having never been to Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard, it is always a pleasure to read stories set there. This story provides a storyline that I have often times wonder about – the possibility of identical twins switching or being mistaken for each other and the repercussions of each situation. Pleasurable listen for a cross-country drive.

Whiskey & Honey (Country Road #1)Whiskey & Honey by Andrea Johnston

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I understand this book SO much because I have the same rules! It is almost like you don’t want to play where you eat and sleep because, hello, awkward times may be ahead if something does not work out the way you hope. This story has a smooth sailing storyline that flows like whiskey. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

Makeup & Murder: Beauty Secrets Mystery Book 1Makeup & Murder: Beauty Secrets Mystery Book 1 by Stephanie Damore

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Tip of your chair read that you won’t want to put down until you know who did it! I could relate to the characters and felt Ziva’s adrenaline while she was trying to figure out who attacked her and was guilty of murder. Chapters were a little long for me (I prefer short, quick chapters, especially in cozy mysteries since I want to stop at end of chapters LOL). Great book for the beach!
