Release Date: September 12, 2017

Hosted by: Buoni Amici Press, LLC.

From the author of the bestselling Sweeney Sister Series and Sweet Tea Tuesdays comes a new novel of passion, intrigue and redemption.

Ellie Pringle has spent endless hours and countless dollars working with a therapist to remember the lost years of her childhood. She’s baffled and more than a little intrigued when the grandmother she hasn’t seen in thirty-four years dies and leaves her a fortune. The time has come to face her past in person. Still reeling from a recent breakup of a long-term relationship, and with nothing to keep her in San Francisco, Ellie packs her meager belongings and boards a plane for the South Carolina Lowcountry.

Standing in the entryway of her grandmother’s antebellum home on South Battery Street in Charleston, Ellie faces the first of many ghosts who will soon haunt her. On her first night in the creepy, creaking mansion, as she’s perusing the titles in a dusty bookcase, she comes across her deceased mother’s leather-bound journal. Her mother’s words create more unanswered questions and send her on a quest to find more journals. As Hurricane Irma bears down on the South Carolina coast, Ellie encounters Julian Hagood, a handsome architect who has the talent to restore her dilapidated mansion and the charm to mend her broken heart. But as Ellie reads her mother’s diaries, they dislodge a stone in the wall that safeguards her memories, causing her world to come crumbling down. Revelations about her childhood lead Ellie on a harrowing journey of discovery that will hold readers spellbound until the dramatic conclusion

#BlogTour #Giveawy – SWEET TEA TUESDAYS by Ashley Farley

On Tour with Prism Book Tours.

Book Tour Grand Finale for
Sweet Tea Tuesdays
By Ashley Farley

We hope you enjoyed the tour! If you missed any of the stops, go back and check them out…

Launch – Note from the Author

As these three women share their lives—their past sorrows and fears of an uncertain future—readers will shed more than one tear. Sweet Tea Tuesdays introduces many topics of discussion for book clubs through themes of friendship, parenting, trust, infidelity, and death.

The Silver Dagger Scriptorium – Excerpt

No, Midge! She turned her back on her bed. You need to enjoy tonight. You finally have a date to the ball. She went to the window and peeked through the blinds. Night after night for most of her adult life, she’d watched Georgia and Lula leave for social engagements. Georgia to her charity functions and dinners with her husband’s doctor friends and their wives, and Lula to neighborhood gatherings that Midge was never invited to. The other wives stopped including her in their backyard barbecues and holiday cocktail parties after her divorce. She was the pariah, the woman no one wanted to associate with for fear their husbands might be tempted by the attractive young divorcée.

Nicole’s Book Musings – Excerpt

As a child, Lizbet had worshipped her mother and her older sister. They were the center of her universe—the sun and the moon. Her father was a star, serving little purpose except to brighten her nights when he came home from work. Lula, Brooke, and Lizbet went everywhere together.

Hearts & Scribbles – Excerpt

Where in the world was her address book? She hopped up out of her chair, took a step, and then leaned against the table when the room began to spin. Spots appeared before her eyes and her skin felt clammy despite the heat. She was groping for the chair to sit back down when everything suddenly went black.

Deal Sharing Aunt – Interview

Where do you get your information or ideas for your books? I don’t have a simple answer to this question. I’m inspired by many different things—places, people, relationships. I create a character, toss them into a situation, and let them show me the way. I never know how a book will end when I write the first chapter.

It’s All About the Romance – Excerpt

Standing at her kitchen window, Georgia watched Lula and her precious daughter poke around in the garden. Her own sons rarely came home for a visit. She had to travel to Boston in order to see them. During her last trip over Thanksgiving, they had bounced her back and forth like a basketball. Both had followed in their father’s footsteps. Richard was a cardiologist and Martin a resident at Mass General. Neither had time for her and made it apparent her presence was a hindrance.

Rainy Day Reviews – Spotlight

Falling Leaves – Excerpt

As the elevator doors closed on her clients, whisking them away to the fourth floor, the doors on the elevator to her right parted to reveal a middle-aged man and a much younger woman locked in a passionate embrace, mouths pressed together and arms groping at one another. As though sensing an audience, the couple separated and stepped out of the elevator. Midge recognized the man as Lang Murdaugh, but the woman was definitely not his wife.

Brooke Blogs – Excerpt

That went well, Georgia thought to herself as she turned off the oven and sank down to the nearest stool at the island. She should’ve texted him about dinner. He led a busy life. His job didn’t end when he left the operating room. He was responsible for his patients’ recovery as well. They counted on him to adjust their meds, order any necessary tests, and release them from the hospital when they were well enough to go home. She shouldn’t expect him to drop everything because she wanted to have a discussion about their plans for the Fourth of July.

Cinnamon Cindy’s Book Blog – Excerpt

Lula heard her cell phone ringing in a distant part of the house. She froze, listening. But her oldest daughter had already hung up by the time Lula located the phone wedged between the sofa cushions. Brooke knew better than to call her on her cell phone. Lula despised modern technology. She preferred paperback copies over e-books. She wanted her mail delivered by the mailman. And she would rather read a road map than listen to an automated voice on a GPS instructing her where to go.

Sylv.net – Excerpt

Midge had a physical advantage over most women their age. She’d never carried an eight-pound baby to term or nursed it for six months afterward. Even though Georgia aspired to have a toned figure like Midge’s, she didn’t envy her friend her inability to have children.

Rockin’ Book Reviews – Excerpt

They’d spent so much time together in those years they knew everything there was to know about one another. But now that their lives were so busy and independent of one another, most Tuesdays they all had tidbits of news or gossip to share.

Tangle of Strings
By Ashley Farley

We hope you enjoyed the tour! If you missed any of the stops, go back and check them out now…

Launch – Note from the Author

I hope you’ll enjoy reading about the Sweeney sisters as much I’ve enjoyed writing about them. They are real women faced with everyday challenges, struggling to balance the demands of career and home while remaining true to themselves.

Reading Is My SuperPower – Spotlight

Katie’s Clean Book Collection – Excerpt

Annie checked the clock on the dashboard. She had eight minutes to change into her work clothes, grab a snack, and still be on time for her after-school job at Captain Sweeney’s Seafood Market. She turned off the main road and zoomed down the wooded driveway toward the house. When she rounded the last bend, she saw Heidi leaning against the hood of her vintage turquoise Mustang.

Christy’s Cozy Corners – Excerpt

Annie glared at her. “You gave up the right to call me honey, or any other term of endearment for that matter, when you abandoned me.” She tried to brush past Heidi, but she grabbed her by the arm.

Mel’s Shelves – Excerpt

Annie yanked her arm away. “The decision was right for you at the time. A very selfish decision, I might add. You took off to Hollywood to chase your dreams of becoming a big movie star, and left me with a man who didn’t know how to scramble an egg or balance his checkbook, let alone raise a little girl.”

Zerina Blossom’s Books – Excerpt

Annie stalked off toward her car, but Heidi teetered after her on spiked-heel booties. “You and I were getting along so well together back in December, before you found out who I was. We were becoming friends. We share so many things in common. I know we can build a life together based on that friendship. You can come live with me. I recently signed a lease on the second-floor apartment in a newly renovated old home down on Broad Street, on the Battery. I think you’ll like it. I even have an extra bedroom for you.”

Mythical Books – Excerpt

“I’m not your baby! You abandoned your baby sixteen years ago.” Shoving Heidi out of the way, Annie jumped into her car and struggled to fasten her seat belt. As she shot off down the driveway, she watched her mother slowly disappear in the rearview mirror. She careened onto Creekside Drive with barely a glance in either direction. Tears blurring her vision, she smacked her palms against the steering wheel. “Ugh! I hate her!”

Falling Leaves – Excerpt

He engaged his blue lights, preparing to pull her over, when the accident happened. Tires screeched and a horn blasted as the minivan swerved into Annie’s lane. The sounds of metal crunching and glass shattering filled the air as her Honda hit the front end of the minivan, bounced off the curb, flipped over, and landed on its roof.

Nicole’s Book Musings – Excerpt

“Come here, you.” He pulled Sam from her chair and held her at arm’s length, taking her in from the top of her cropped blonde head to her dark-washed jeans and the pointy toes of her cowboy boots, relieved to see she hadn’t changed since breakfast. Sensing the worry behind her deep blue eyes, he wrapped his arms around her slight frame and buried his face in the soft spot at the crook of her neck. “You never know when you wake up in the morning what the day will bring.”

Buried Under Books – Review

“Tangle of Strings is another fine episode in Ms. Farley’s engaging series but I do suggest the series be read in order because each book builds on the one before and it’s the best way to fully understand the Sweeneys and other people in their lives. I’m sorry to say this appears to be the end of the Sweeney family saga but Ms. Farley has at least left us with the possibility of future installments and I’ll be very happy if that happens.”

A nearly tragic accident leads to a discovery that rocks the Sweeney family’s world

Some families never resolve conflicts. Not so with the Sweeneys. Their sense of family, their love for one another, and their willingness to forgive have always triumphed and brought them back together. Until now. The latest crisis threatens to tear the family apart and crumble the foundation that has always proved itself rock solid.

At the heart of the matter are sixteen-year-old Annie Bethune and her boyfriend, Cooper. At stake are their dreams for the future. As to these dreams, no one in the family holds back when asserting an opinion.

Annie soon begins to feel like a puppet on strings with all those she loves telling her what to do. When those strings become tangled and a family feud develops, Annie, unable to bear the pressure, runs away. Straight into the arms of danger.

Book Tour Grand Finale for
Boots and Bedlam
By Ashley Farley

We hope you enjoyed some holiday cheer, spending time with a close family, and a little chaos thrown in. If you missed any of the stops, go back and check them out…

Launch – Author Interview

What do you hope readers take with them after they’ve read it?

BOOTS AND BEDLAM is a little more light-hearted than the previous two in the series. Although not totally. I had to throw in plenty of family drama to keep you reading. More than anything, I’d like for my readers to finish the last chapter with a warm feeling, a feeling like they can accomplish anything for the sake of family. I hope you’ll watch my book trailer. It really captures the tone of the novel.

Christy’s Cozy Corners – Excerpt

He wrapped his arms around her from behind. “More fireplaces means better snuggling for us.”

Falling Leaves – Excerpt

Sam cleared her throat. “I’d like to meet this Sophia before you start planning the wedding.”

She knew three things about Jamie’s girlfriend. Sophia Rainey was a beautiful redhead from California who made her sorority her priority. Jamie had been seeing Sophia for eight months, but so far Sam had yet to meet her.

Mel’s Shelves – Jackie Sweeney Hart

Books The Magical Fruit – Excerpt

“You look great. You needed to gain some weight. But that’s not it. There’s something else, something that’s not physical.” Sam’s mouth fell open and her eyes grew wide. “Do you have a boyfriend?”

Annie’s cheeks turned a vibrant shade of pink.

Nicole’s Book Musings – Review

“I really enjoyed this one. What could be more exciting then a wedding on Christmas Eve. . . . I really like the cover and I’m a sucker for a Christmas setting. This book had the right amount of angst, love, and humor. A well rounded story.”

underneath the covers – Faith Sweeney Evans

Rockin’ Book Reviews – Review

“A good story with believable characters. It was so good to read a story that is so true to life. . . . The story flowed well and kept me interested. I would refer it to all teens through adult age readers. I think everyone could learn something from it and enjoy the story as well.”

fuonlyknew – Excerpt

The back door in the kitchen creaked open. Seconds later Eli entered the room, stopping short when he saw her sitting on the floor in tattered jeans, a USC sweatshirt, and a baseball cap pulled low, hiding much of her face. “Don’t take this the wrong way. I think you look hot in your work clothes. But I hope you’re not planning to wear them out to dinner.”

Reading Is My SuperPower – Review

“Boots and Bedlam is a lively and romantic Christmas novella that reminds us of the strength of family and the heart of the season. While some serious issues are addressed in the story, the mood stays positive and cozy yet doesn’t take addiction lightly. A couple of surprising twists have me eagerly waiting for the next Sweeney book!”

Katie’s Clean Book Collection – Review

“I wasn’t expecting to get such a heavy story with this one–remember Christmas wedding? . . . That aside, I love the messages found within these pages: love conquers all, Christmas is a time for miracles, and kindness matters. The lengths people were willing to go to in order to put this wedding together warmed my heart and soul.”

Book Lover in Florida – Samantha “Sam” Sweeney

Heidi Reads… – Excerpt

“What exactly do you have in mind for me tonight, Lt. Marshall?”

“You’ll have to wait and see.” He scooped her off her feet and carried her outside to the car—her Jeep judging from the squeaky passenger door and the smell of mildew inside.

“Where are we going?” she asked when he set her down on the seat.

“Stop asking so many questions. You’ll find out when we get there,” he said, and slammed the door.

As she approaches the next stage of her life as an empty nester, Jackie is torn between expanding her fledgling design business and spending these last precious months with her boys before they fly the coop. Her own worst enemy, Sam is terrified of making a commitment to Eli Marshall, handsome police officer, true love of her life. Her resolve is tested when a ghost from her past shows up after nearly two decades. Faith nurtures her seven-year-old daughter who is recovering from the trauma of her abusive father. Is the threat in the past, or is there more danger on the horizon? The sisters seek guidance from their mother, Lovie, a true Southern matriarch who shows them how to respond to adversity with grace and dignity.

Things are heating up in the Lowcountry. The Sweeney sisters remind us, once again, that being a part of a family is about more than sharing the same DNA.

Ashley Farley is the author of the bestselling series, the Sweeney Sisters Series. Ashley writes books about women for women. Her characters are mothers, daughters, sisters, and wives facing real-life issues. Her goal is to keep you turning the pages until the wee hours of the morning. If her story stays with you long after you’ve read the last word, then she’s done her job.

After her brother died in 1999 of an accidental overdose, she turned to writing as a way of releasing her pent-up emotions. She wrote SAVING BEN in honor of Neal, the boy she worshiped, the man she could not save.

Ashley is a wife and mother of two college-aged children. She grew up in the salty marshes of South Carolina, but now lives in Richmond, Virginia, a city she loves for its history and traditions.
