Review

If you are looking for a great poolside read, this is the book for you! This book contains all the relationship drama you could think of – being left at the alter, finding new love, old love returning, previous relationships haunting a current one, and more! I read this book in one afternoon sitting next to the pool. I didn’t want to put it down and I had to know who Abby would choose! I cannot wait to read the next book in this series, Second Look! There is a short novella, Fooled Around and Fell in Love, that I will be checking out as well!

Synopsis

A year after being dumped on her wedding day, Abby Simon was still left wondering what had gone wrong. It made Adam almost impossible for Abby to get over. Since then, Abby had been on a series of dates that usually ended in disaster, and she was ready to just give up on men entirely.

When Abby unexpectedly runs into an old crush she hasn’t seen in thirteen years, she can’t help but notice he’s hotter than ever. Max wouldn’t give her the time of day back then, but to her total surprise, he seemed very interested in her now.

Just as things are heating up with Max, Adam shows up claiming he still loves Abby and leaving her was the biggest mistake of his life. Adam finally gives Abby answers as to why he left and is asking for another chance.

Abby must now make the biggest decision of her life…which man deserves a second chance?

MeetTheAuthor

connie-stephanyConnie Stephany was born in 1975 to her loving parents, both of whom are still alive and kicking. She grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota wither her four sisters and one brother.

Connie’s first novel, Second Chances, was a finalist in the 2015 National Indie Excellence Awards. She also has a short story and is working on her second and third novels, expected in late 2015 to early 2016.

She writes what she likes to read; fictional romance novels with happily every afters allowing the reader to escape every day reality, even if just for 20 minute each night. Although they are fiction, they do contain real pieces of Connie’s life, such as the “hairing” event which is described in Second Chances. You have to read it to understand what that means!

Connie now lives in Zimmerman, Minnesota with her husband of 16 years, their three children, a dog and a bearded dragon. Along with her friends, some of which she has had since grade school, they are her inspiration. No one encourages her more than her loving husband and children.
